Figueiral – A passion with more than 30 years

It’s not every day that a restaurant manages to maintain the same management for more than 30 years, opening its doors to a warm welcome, providing excellent service and unique moments at the table tasting the best Portuguese cuisine and the best picanha in the entire Algarve region! Figueiral, located in Almancil, next to Quinta do Lago, therefore continues to be a unique success story.

Maintaining the management with which it debuted, Figueiral is a family house managed by matriarch Cláudia Sousa and her son Ivan Gomes. Both are the face of a family business, known by everyone who visits the house, reflecting the challenges and experience of many years of commitment and dedication. A relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, through a rustic and elegant surroundings, which has greatly contributed to its prominent position as one of the best restaurants in the region.

Combining tradition with modernity, Figueiral’s dishes are served in a careful and contemporary way, with the option of a set menu or chef José Botequilha’s daily suggestions, which vary depending on seasonality. Here we find the best picanha in the Algarve (Brazilian style carefully served by chef Eraldo Brandão), fresh fish and selected cuts of meat, tender vegetables, traditional sweets and an excellent wine cellar. Goat cheese with apple, honey and walnuts; Sole fillets with flamed banana with “Grand Marnier” liqueur, Duck breast with Port wine sauce and Stuffed profiteroles with hot chocolate topping are just some of the dishes on the menu.

Figueiral consists of two dining rooms and an outdoor space (with a more private and quiet terrace), as well as a lounge area, ideal for an aperitif before the meal. A full bar service with options for all tastes and types of palate (cocktails, gin, rum, vodka, whiskey, cognac or brandy) so you can enjoy a unique experience with friends.
